AI assistant

Ask questions in plain language and get answers grounded in your own data.

Bring your own provider

kttouk works with the AI provider you already trust:

  • Ollama — fully local and private. Your content never leaves your machine.
  • OpenAI, Gemini, Claude — opt-in cloud providers.

Configure everything in Settings → AI provider: provider, model, embedding model, base URL and API key. AI features are optional; kttouk works fully without them.

Automatic organization

When enabled, captures are automatically categorized, tagged and summarized as they arrive. The Inbox tidies itself while you work.

Ask anything

The AI Assistant page lets you ask questions in plain language. It looks up your tasks, notes and projects as it answers, so replies are based on your real data rather than guesses. Items it mentions appear as small clickable chips: hover to preview, click to open. Conversations are saved so you can come back to them.

AI inside your notes

Every note has an AI actions menu: summarize it (concise, standard or detailed), pull out key points, or extract action items, and rewrite it in a different tone. The result appears beside the note and can be copied or appended to it. Some of these actions depend on your plan.

With Ollama, embeddings are generated locally. Use reindex on the assistant page to rebuild the semantic-search index over your notes.

Your data and cloud providers

With Ollama nothing leaves your device. If you choose a cloud provider, the text it needs to answer is sent to that provider — see Security & privacy.
