Getting started
Install kttouk and make your first capture in under a minute.
Install
- Go to the Download page and grab the installer for your operating system.
- Run the installer. No account or sign-up is required — kttouk starts with a local, encrypted database on your device.
Your first capture
kttouk's whole idea is that capturing takes less than one second:
- Quick capture — press Ctrl+Space (or click Quick capture at the top of the sidebar) to open the capture popup, type a line and press Enter.
- Floating orb — an optional small orb floats over your screen. Click it to open the quick panel. Turn it on or off in Settings → Desktop widgets.
- Global hotkeys — capture whatever you copied, from any app, with opt-in shortcuts in Settings → Keyboard shortcuts.
Everything you capture lands in the Inbox, where AI (if enabled) can help categorize and tag it.
Find your way around
- Home — a daily dashboard of what matters today.
- Work — a command-center view for the workday.
- Inbox — everything captured and not yet sorted.
- My Day — overdue, today's and in-progress tasks.
- Upcoming — a week and month planning view with your tasks, reminders and calendar events.
- Lists — group your tasks into lists and folders of lists.
- Notes, Bookmarks and Tags — your library. Everything else (Tasks, Board, Timeline, Reminders, Ideas, Pomodoro, AI Assistant, Trash…) is under More.
Press Ctrl+K anywhere to open the command palette: create something, jump to a page or change a setting by typing its name.
